At church we call this fellowship. Fellowship is a core principle of Christianity.
We are called to love each other, care for each other and to support each other. Christianity is a faith based entirely upon relationships.
There are many opportunities to build relationships at Central.
You can start by simply joining us for a coffee after the service. You’re always welcome and you’re always invited, no strings attached.
Of course, we’re always looking for volunteers for our missions and our ministries. The terms Missions and Ministries may sound a bit “churchy”, but, they’re simply the ways in which we help each other, our community and our World.
Sunday school, the place where we teach our children is a Ministry, so is Central Cares, the ministry that helps individuals within our church family who are struggling. Missions are our programs to reach out into our community and to the World beyond to make a difference. We support the Cambridge Self Help Food Bank. We support Rachel’s Home, an orphanage for AIDS orphans in a tiny African country called Lesotho. We support many other groups that make a difference.
There is, of course, more to church than this. We have Bible studies, small groups and prayer groups. Some of our groups have retreats and weekends away together. Church is about fellowship. It’s about building relationships and it’s about sharing God’s love.
Come and see!
